Addictive Drugs – A Financial Decision for Doctors?

Most all of what I write is most unpleasant and most people would rather shut their eyes to it.  My purpose in reporting to you is to spare your health and save your life.

Prescribing dangerous  addictive drugs is a financial decision for doctors. Some doctors attract patients by giving prescriptions for addictive drugs in order to convert those patients into addicts.  You read and see it in the media all the time.  They know that once they’ve hooked you, they’ve got yet another steady customer coming back at least every month.  Others,  prescribe  them simply because, if they don’t,  they know their patients will leave their medical practice and find another one  who will give them what they ask for.  Then, you have the ethical doctors (few and far between) who just won’t write prescriptions that addict and ultimately kill their patients.  Think of a medical practice as similar to a high end clothing store whose owner asks, should we carry the hot and trendy styles we know will sell, or do we stock up on the cheap old styles from a few years ago?  The bottom line is profit, so you know what their decision will be.  These days, medical practices – for the most part – are businesses for MEGA profit.
