The nonprofit organization ICAN (Informed Consent Action Network), disgruntled by the lack of vaccine safety information made available to the public have taken it upon themselves to reveal the covid vaccine secret hidden by the CDC by filing a lawsuit against them.

The Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) have filed a lawsuit against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), alleging that the agency is unjustly suppressing COVID-19 vaccination safety information from the American public.

The nonprofit said in a Dec. 29 statement that it had launched a lawsuit (pdf) against the CDC and the US Department of Health and Human Services to compel them to reveal de-identified post-licensure safety data for the COVID-19 vaccinations in the CDC’s v-safe system.

V-safe is an “active surveillance program to monitor the safety of COVID-19 vaccines during the period when the vaccines are authorized for use under Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) and possibly early after vaccine licensure” according to the CDC’s website.

Vaccination recipients can use the app to report any adverse effects they’ve experienced after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. The CDC has currently made data from it’s own v-safe system available to Oracle, a private computer technology business, in de-identified form, which means that individual identifying information has been redacted.

According to the CDC (pdf), this information “will be collected, managed, and housed on a secure server by Oracle,”

“Through Health and Human Services (HHS), Oracle has donated IT services to any agency conducting COVID-19 related activities. … All data will be stored, processed, and transmitted in accordance with the Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) and based on NIST standards,” states the website of the agency.

ICAN, on the other hand, demands the CDC to release the same de-identified data to the general public in order to ensure openness in the CDC’s as well as Biden administration’s assertions that COVID-19 vaccines seem to be “safe and effective.”

“The FDA and CDC have now made crystal clear that their promise of transparency with regard to COVID-19 vaccines was hogwash,” ICAN said during a statement issued on Dec. 29.
