Addiction is a spiritual problem that demands a spiritual solution!

Each support ‘meeting’ you attend only serves as a bandage for your emotional wounds. A bandage is temporary. This is the reason why the 12 steps groups do NOT work for the majority of people who attend. A bandage doesn’t heal; it just covers up the wound. The wound needs to heal from the inside out, not the other way around.

Group support is just a bandage change for a far deeper spiritual problem. ‘Meetings’ are not a lifetime solution. That’s why missed meetings often lead to relapse.

This is not healthy! You’re substituting your former addiction with a new addiction – a meeting addiction. The result is that you’re still in bondage. So, nothing changes.

You are probably, at times, considering yourself a failure rather than seeing that the true failure is depending on support groups to keep you sober. Please awaken the soul in you and seek God for answers.

If you can’t maintain your sobriety without meetings, then you still have a bleeding wound. That’s not how healing happens. Healing occurs from the inside out.

There’s a deeper problem that has an incredibly beautiful and eternal solution that you aren’t allowing yourself to see! The Bible says that we are all born with eternity in our hearts. That’s what you need to find. Do you know what the Bible says? “He has also set eternity in the human heart.”
